The Wilinski Family

We had an incredibly beautiful day for the Wilinski family photos at Como Park! Como is such a great location, definitely no shortage of ideal photo spots there. Ben, Kate, Noah and James were so much fun too! They’ve lived near this lake for 6 years and I can definitely see why!

Mr. Noah was a HOOT! He was full of hilarious energy. One minute he was flashing that gorgeous smile you see below and the next he was making some sort of wacky face. He definitely kept me on my toes!

And this little one… He was a bit on the shy side. He made us all work for the smiles we got! Eventually, a bit of bribery with some tasty snacks did the trick. Such a honey…

Thanks so much for allowing me to capture such fun moments for you guys!  It was a blast and I hope I can do it again!

Javier Jose Turns One!

I just love this little guy…

Maybe it’s because we share the same birthday? Whatever it is, I just can’t help but smile each time I see his beautiful face. He was so much fun to photograph! Always smiling and giggling!

And he was definitely not into sitting around!

These guys are just so much fun to be around and you can’t help but feel their love for each other, each and every time you’re around them. Thanks so much for the opportunity to take your photos, Pampusch Family! Looking forward to his birthday party this weekend! Much love to you all!

Sophie and Ella

Miss Sophie and Miss Ella were such a treat! I had a lot of fun photographing these lil’ ladies and I like to think they had fun too. Sophie, 5, LOVES to have her picture taken… and it shows!

The black and white one of Sophie is one of my favorites of the day. She was so great at turning on the charm when she needed. She was also a huge help in getting her baby sister to smile for me!

Ella just turned one and she was SO proud of herself for being able to stand alone!

Thanks again for the fun session, ladies! I look forward to the next one!

Springtime Mini-Sessions!

Well, according to the weather report this morning (Yes, I know they tend to be wrong a lot but I’ll take my chances), it sounds like this mild weather is here to stay! Don’t let me down, Keith Marler!

So, to celebrate Spring’s early arrival, I’m offering mini-sessions for families, kids and pets for ONE day in Otsego Park! This is a perfect chance for you to get those photos taken that you’ve been putting off and at half the price!

Each session will be 15 minutes and you’ll receive a CD with 8-10 images for you to print where you like and as MUCH as you like. If the weather does happen to take a turn, the sessions will take place in my home.

Don’t wait! Space is limited so call or email me TODAY to book your session!

Happy Early Spring, friends!

That Crazy Erickson Clan…

By far, this is one of my most favorite families. Ever.  I was lucky enough to spend a year working along side of Tammy at “The Day Job” and no lie, it was THE MOST fun I’ve ever had at a job. She’s an amazing person and anyone who knows this gal, knows she is one-of-a-kind.

As expected, this shoot was a ton of fun and I hope I’ll have a chance to take your pictures again in the future! Thanks, Erickson clan!

The Brandt Family

Can you even stand it?!?!? Ian, Ian, Ian… SO adorable. Taking photos of this little guy was a dream! He made my job far too easy, I tell ya’. Right from the start he was cool, collected and ready to smile. Just a lovely baby!

Thanks so much for welcoming me into your home, Brandt family! It was a pleasure and I’m looking forward to the next time!

Caleb, Vincent & Paige

I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun these 3 munchkins were! Each one so adorable and not without their own character and personality. After spending just 5 minutes with them, their “roles” in the house quickly became apparent.

This young man made me smile. There is just something about his smile and demeanor that makes me think he is one amazing big brother. He was a little unsure of me and the session at first but it didn’t take long before he warmed up to the camera and looked like a natural.

As you can probably tell from this photo, this little guy was FULL of energy! From the moment they arrived, he didn’t stop moving and exploring! He was so much fun to photograph… when he stopped long enough to get some shots!

This is one of my favorites of the day. Two buds.

And then there is this little lady. Guh, she is definitely a heart-melter! Such a little honey, she had no problem smiling for the camera! She made my job too easy!

Those eyes!

Thanks again Marlowe family! I had so much fun with all of you and I hope you’ll give me the opportunity to take your photos again in the future!

Ann, Ryan & Miss Cyria

Meet little Miss Cyria! This little girl was quite a character. She greeted me with a fierce bark as I entered her domain but it quickly changed as I began to “touch her stuff” by moving some furniture around. She wasn’t exactly sure what to think of it all. But, despite all of that, I’d say she did a great job!

She definitely loves her Mama and Daddy! Such a sweety…

Thanks Ann and Ryan for a great day! I hope you enjoy your photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. And a big thanks to Cyria for putting up with the disruption. ;-)

Happy Valentine’s Day!

My funny little valentine…

G and I decided to spend a little time this weekend trying out the new background. Well, I decided and he was gracious enough to go along with it. He’s such a trooper! Side note: PuhLEASE forgive the wrinkles and creases in the backdrop. It’s actually a kid’s shower curtain I picked up on sale last week! A few minor adjustments and I’d say it’s a pretty good find. As I keep growing my business, I realize the prop and background arsenal also needs to keep growing. So, I’m always keeping my eyes open for new and/or unconventional ideas. One of the great things about doing these test runs with my little man is that I can work out the kinks before I using anything on my clients.

I also found this super cute heart-shaped chalkboard in the dollar section at Target!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you from SKL photography (Garrett too…)!!!

Free Photo Session!

Hi friends!

As my business is growing and I continue to get new sessions and clients booked, needless to say I get more and more excited! I’m so blessed and fortunate to have this opportunity to not only do something that I love, but I’m also able to spend more time with my family. What more could a girl want?!

Well… Um… More publicity, that’s what.

My business is based on referrals from happy clients and people who like my work. So, in an effort to get more people to “like” me and my Facebook page (No, I don’t have acceptance issues…), and therefore help me spread the word about SKL photography, I’ve decided to do a little contest! Here’s where you come in…

First, If you haven’t liked my page yet, PLEASE DO and spread the word by sharing it (Only if you truly like what you see, of course.) Once I hit 75 likes, all of those fans will be entered into a drawing for a free photo session of their choice (Up to a $225 value). That’s it. It’s so simple!

Social media can be a powerful thing! The greatest compliment you can give me is a referral to your friends and family. Good luck and thanks for “liking” me!
